The first issue to be address must be the children of New Brunswick. We have schools that require upgrades, maintenance, rebuilding and advocators to insist on making sure changes are implemented and not resulting like the following schools:
- Two (2) schools housed in factory buildings
(A.C. Redshaw Elementary School & New Brunswick Middle School)
- Livingston Avenue where A. C. Redshaw Elementary School use to reside. (flat land right now)
- Lincoln School's landscaping gives the look of abandonment. This school is occupied with trailers.
- Livingston School no longer has a large playground area because it is now occupied by trailers.
Who's fighting for our children? What do you think is going through their minds when they learn in trailers and factory building while living in a vibrant, fast growing city like New Brunswick.
| This is an attractive looking school. |
What does this look like to you?
a) Factory Building
b) Prison Building
c) Elementary School
If this question upsets you, imagine the parents who found out its foundation resides on top of toxic soil. Oh yes, it is stated that a layer protectant is separating the good soil from the bad soil. |
The question is, should New Brunswick children be asking adults, "When am I going to be in a REAL school?" How many new developments have we seen in the city? The city looks great, is vibrant and wonderful, however, the children seem to have been forgotten. |
